Safe and sound

When all those shadows almost killed your light,
I remember you said don’t leave me here alone,
I remember tears streaming down your face,
But all that’s dead and gone and past tonight.
When I said I’ll never let you go.

You’ll be all right,
The sun is going down.
No one can hurt you now.
Come morning light,
You and I’ll be safe and sound.
Just close your eyes,

The war outside our door keeps raging on,
Darlin’ everything’s on fire.
Don’t you dare look out your window,
Even when the music’s gone, gone…
Hold on to this lullaby.

You and I’ll be safe and sound…
You’ll be all right,
The sun is going down.
Come morning light,
No one can hurt you now.
Just close your eyes,

Just close your eyes,
Come morning light,
You and I’ll be safe and sound…

You’ll be all right.
