PLAZA DE ORIENTE:The Plaza de Oriente was promoted by Jose I in 1844. In this place there are different historic gardens and many sculptures, but the most important one is the sculpture of Felipe IV. Near Plaza de Oriente is the Plaza de la Armeria, and de Royal Monastery ofthe Incarnation (Encarnación).

TEATRO REAL (Royal Theatre):

The Teatro Real (literally Royal theatre) or simply El Real (as it is know colloquially), is the major opera house in Madrid. The royal theatre is located just in fornt of the Royal Palace.

THE ROYAL PALACE:The Royal Palace of Madrid is the official residence of the king of Spain, but it is only used for state ceremonies. King Juan Carlos I and the Royal Family do not live in this palace, they live in "Palacio de la Zarzuela" in a nearby area outside Madrid city centre.
